Is a unique book that explores the materiality of fabrics. I have always been fascinated by the use of textiles in paintings of the past. With this typescript, composed of photograms and typed sheets on wallpaper, I conceived a kind of sampling. Some photograms are typed, while on others I have recreated the hand-colouring technique once used to tint black-and-white photographs. Here, the colouring was done using carbon paper.For me, the photogram is always an experimental paper medium: I do not follow the conventional rules of photographic development but rather work with its versatility. The work on the surface acquires an unusual character, where texture, imprint, and light interact in unexpected ways.
