Typewritten with carbon paper and ink ribbon on copy paper and tracing paper, with wallpaper cover 42,6 x 30,3 cm, 2025
This unique typed book is an homage to Sol LeWitt and the grid he developed for his contribution to Seth Siegelaub’s Xerox Book. LeWitt generated 24 permutations of four directional lines within a 4×4 structure.
In T57, the same system is translated into numbers. Each permutation is typed using a black ink ribbon, while further variations arise from the use of different carbon papers, ink ribbons, and tracing paper, which introduces an additional level of layering. By playing with three and eight chromatic permutations, the work preserves the conceptual rigor of the structure while adding a material dimension where the typewritten mark is revealed through color, pressure, and overlap.
